Problem Statement & Context
STC internal enterprise applications required repeatable deployment workflows and improved operational visibility across the local Kubernetes environment, application APIs, and supporting servers. Manual deployment steps and limited centralized monitoring made releases and incident detection more difficult.
Solution & Delivery Approach
Designed and implemented Jenkins CI/CD pipelines to automate the build, packaging, and deployment of internal enterprise applications to a local Kubernetes cluster. Established infrastructure and API monitoring using Prometheus and Grafana, with automated Slack notifications to improve operational visibility and incident awareness.
Engineering Challenges & Resolution
Monitoring Kubernetes workloads, application APIs, and services distributed across multiple local servers required consistent metric collection and alerting. Configured Prometheus monitoring targets and alert rules, created Grafana dashboards, and integrated actionable notifications with Slack to centralize visibility across the environment.
